Air Blue Flights Cancelled

Airblue airlines, Pakistan’s privately owned airline has cancelled its flights to pakistan effective 19 Jan 2014. After almost 7 years of operations between the very popular route from Manchester to Islamabad which provided its customers with fares as  low as £350.00 return will be duly missed by its passengers who benefited conspicuously since 2007.

The airline became immensely popular among the Pakistani communities, mainly due to its low cost fares which were considerably cheaper than its rival PIA – Pakistan International airlines. Airblue started operating flights from Manchester to Islamabad with its inaugural flight on 04 Jun 2007 from Islamabad.

Airblue became incredibly popular right from the very start having near full capacity on almost all flights leaving Manchester it soon became the most attractive airline for its Pakistani passengers. The airline initially started with 3 flights a week and at its peak was operating daily flights to pakistan however this was short lived and the frequency of the flights soon became very inconsistent suffering from many delays and cancellations which have mostly been a cause of technical and operational problems.

The airblue management based at the airlines head office in Manchester have not made any formal comments on the future of the airline or a desire to continue to operate this route anytime in the near future although there have been unconfirmed reports that airblue may relaunch this popular route using its original fleet A321 aircraft which operated the route from Manchester to Islamabad via Turkey.
