ISLAMABAD- 14 Sep 2010: The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) passengers faced unspeakable difficulties on the third day of Eid-ul-Fitr because of hours long delays in the airlines’ flights, local television channel reports.
Details reached here said that the Lahore bounded flight from Jeddah PIA PK-7328 has been delayed by more than 16 hours.
It suffered about nine hours delay despite of its scheduled time and Jeddah to Karachi flight of the airlines PK-7354 has been delayed by 20 hours.
Islamabad to London PIA flight PK-785 has been delayed for hours due to unavailability of the aircraft. A flight from Islamabad to Kabul PK-249 was cancelled due to the same reason.
Pakistani passengers trapped at Jeddah Airport for last three days facing hardships and were not shifted to hotel or provided meals during their prolonged stay at the airport. The passengers protested as the the Airlines failed to provide them correct information about their flights.
